Easy Run Day

Today was my 5 mile easy run. These are the the junk miles, the just burning calories and running for the sake of running miles :) It was pouring rain when I got up, but by the time I headed out it was cloudy, but bright and fairly mild. Perfect running conditions actually.


I did a little over 5.5 miles and felt good. I listened to a random mix of music and just let myself go at whatever pace felt comfortable. I also got my weights done at morning coffee break and had no trouble sticking to my eating plan. 

I dont bother pinning my bangs back unless its a long run :)

I can tell it must be race week cause I woke up this morning and my leg felt twing-y and I felt like I was getting sick. I always feel like that the few days before a race. Just nerves and anticipation I think. It didnt help that I had a rotten sleep last night. Tossed and turned unable to get comfortable. My husband woke me up with his snoring at 4am and then my 6 year old got up for the day at 5:30am...fun!!

 Work was also a bit stressful today so it was the perfect day to get out and forget all about life's problems and worries :)
