Friday morning I got up with the intention of doing a quick speed-drill before we went away for the weekend. The plan was to do 10 mins warm-up, then 8 intervals of 1 mins fast (sub 6 mins/mile), with 2 mins recovery. Sounded pretty doable, but I made it 10 seconds into the first interval...
My legs were just not having anything to do with it! I debated just calling it completely and going back upstairs to pack but I decided just because I couldnt do speed, didnt mean I couldnt still get a work out in. I lowered the speed down to a brisk walk and did some hill work. I ended up putting in 30 mins and burned around 250 calories. I was pleased that I didnt just throw in the towel as I can be quite all or nothing.
