Today I got slammed at work. It was so busy from the moment I started till the moment I finished. Fielding calls and emails (which all seemed to be crisis) and training new staff. That being said I still made time to do my weights at first coffee break and get out to do my speed drill at lunch :)
For my run I was set up to do 10 mins warm-up, 10 intervals of 1mins at sub-7mins miles with 1 mins recovery jog and then 10 mins cool-down.
It was smoking hot outside today, but I got it done and felt good. I actually threw an extra 10 mins of easy running on at the end.
Overall I did 5.5 miles at an average of 9 mins/mile. My speed intervals were done at an average of 6:32mins/mile though so that was pretty cool to reach that speed in the heat.
Most of all it just felt good to be out and running and doing my weights and feeling on track. I had a good laugh because my husbands work every Friday has donuts for everyone to take home, not my work...we have lettuce :) and you better believe I grabbed me some :)
